Our Studio...
New Canaan Dance Academy is home to four studios with marley & hardwood floors, two dressing rooms, two lobbies, & two bathrooms. All studios are air-conditioned with windows, & are viewable from the lobby areas. We have two locations: 15 & 32 Forest Street.
Our Community...
Forest Street is a charming, tree-lined street, just off of Main & Elm Streets in downtown New Canaan. There is an abundance of restaurants & shops in the downtown area & visitors find it very safe & walkable.
We are proud to be a part of the New Canaan community & we participate annually in local events. We welcome students of all levels & provide recreational classes for all ages.
Our Season...
In 2022-2023 we will be celebrating our 22nd year! Our dance seasons always kick off in late August with a Summer Intensive for all levels, followed by auditions for students interested in participating in our competitive, Company program.
All classes begin in early September. The Fall is dedicated to building upon technique, & in January each class begins to learn choreography for our recital performance.
Our recital is an amazing celebration of dance, held at the gorgeous Palace Theater in downtown Stamford, CT. Dress Rehearsals are held at the theater the week prior, followed by four performances over the weekend. It is the highlight of our year & we take an enormous amount of pride it producing it each season!
