AUDITIONS for the 2024/2025, ENSEMBLE Team
& for ADVANCED Recreational Classes,
will be held on Saturday, August 24th.
*Please note that this is the only audition we will hold for next season's ENSEMBLE Team.

SCHEDULE FOR SATURDAY, August 24th -
ENSEMBLE TEAM & ADVANCED RECREATIONAL CLASS AUDITIONS:​
*Studios B & C (15 Forest Street) will be accessible for independent warm ups starting at 10:30 AM; please arrive to Studio D (32 Forest Street) 10-15 minutes prior to the start of your audition to check in.

11:00-12:00 JUNIOR ENSEMBLE, Grades 3-7 - Ballet Placement + Jazz Combination
*7th graders who have 3+ years of Jazz experience, & 1+ year of Ballet & Lyrical experience, should attend the SENIOR Ensemble Audition

12:00-12:30 ADV Hip-Hop Recreational Class, Grades 4-7 - Hip-Hop Combination
12:30-1:30 SENIOR ENSEMBLE, Grades 7-12 - Ballet Placement + Jazz &/or Lyrical Combination
*7th graders who DO NOT have 3+ years of Jazz experience, & 1+ year of Ballet & Lyrical experience, should attend the JR Ensemble Audition
2:00-2:30 ADV Lyrical & Jazz Recreational Classes, Grades 6-12 - Jazz &/or Lyrical Combination

2:30-3:00 ADV Hip-Hop Recreational Class, Grades 8-12 - Hip-Hop Combination

​ ADDITIONAL INFO
*Any dancers interested in auditioning for ENSEMBLE should attend the audition on Saturday, August 24th.
​
*Please know that you must be prepared to accept the level of Ensemble that the Faculty places you in.
​
*Advanced Lyrical/Jazz & Hip-Hop Recreational Class Auditions will also be held on Saturday, August 24th.
​
*All auditions will be held in Studio D (32 Forest Street). Studio A, B, or C (15 Forest Street) will be open as a place to warm up prior to your audition, starting at 10:30 AM.
​
*The NCDA Audition Fee is $30 per ENSEMBLE audition, & $15 per Advanced Recreational Class audition
(charged to Family account)

*Please audition with the grade level you will be entering in the Fall (2024). Placement into ENSEMBLE Levels will be determined by Faculty and NOT by the age group in which you audition.
​
*Placements are announced via email, anywhere from 72 hours to two weeks after the audition date.

WHAT TO WEAR?
​
All dancers auditioning for the ENSEMBLE Team on August 24th should be dressed as follows:
-Black leotard, pink tights, Ballet, Jazz, and/or Lyrical shoes that correspond to the various portions of your audition group. For Lyrical, we recommend wearing convertible tights to free the feet, with pirouette shoes or bare feet. You may also wear Ballet shoes for the Lyrical portion. It is optional to bring form-fitting shorts or leggings to wear over your leotard for the Jazz or Lyrical portions of the audition. Long hair should be slicked back into a clean bun; no jewelry or watches.
-Male identifying dancers: White t-shirt, black form-fitting pants, corresponding shoes.

*Please be prepared to bring ALL required shoes into the studio for the audition
​
All dancers auditioning for Advanced Recreational Classes on August 24th should be dressed as follows:
-LYRICAL/JAZZ: Black leotard with form fitting black shorts or leggings over; barefoot or "pirouette" shoes. Long hair should be slicked back into a clean bun; no jewelry or watches. Male identifying dancers: White t-shirt, black form-fitting pants, corresponding shoes.
-HIP-HOP: shorts or leggings, tank or t-shirt; neutral colors.
*Dancers MUST wear sneakers that have not been worn outside for the Hip-Hop audition
